I could not believe this so I initiated a chat with Adobe support again the next day (1 hour 9 minutes). Then I was told that I could not reauthorize the old product. I was told they turned off my product because "because we have other well featured products for you, for better experience." Yes, sure I replied, however I cannot afford $49 a month I will just reauthorize my old product. The first time I contacted Adobe support via a chat window (1 hour 58 minutes). One day I went to use PhotoShop and it reported that I was not authorized to use it.

Here is my story as I reported it to the Better Business Bureau, I have all the documentation. I agree that someone should file a class action lawsuit against Adobe, I think there is a case.

If this was Adobe's attempt to force me to sign up for CC then it failed, Suddenly I started getting messages that it wasn't a legitimate copy, depite having been activated twice by Adobe. It was fully licensed and activated and had actually been installed twice, due to a previous hard drive failure. I was using a legitimately purchased copy of CS6. Clearly Adobe is killing off standalone licenses for CS6 to force people into paying for Cloud monthly subscriptions and renting the software.

Was the original purchase of a legitimate item vs a cracked version I bought a used copy of CS6 from a private party who had deactivated the license for his computer. You either ignore that part if you like the products or move on.īesides no one is forcing anyone into anything. Kind of a low move IMO but is what it is. However Adobe does not make it easy because they want you to go subscription. You can continue to use CS6 as long as the hardware/software supports it. None of our new work is being done with Adobe products but we have old work that is tied to third party applications and hate to trash all the thousands of hours of work that is contained within them. This company has bought up every prime competitor and then absorbed their customers who are now treated as a captive base and being compelled to rent software from Adobe. I dearly wish that someone would start a class action lawsuit against Adobe.
Now we are being told by Adobe that the license has "expired" and is no longer valid. We had been installing it on new computers for the past several years. So I restarted CS6, same thing happened, but this time I just clicked the red close window button on the Trial version message and the next message asked me if I was sure I wanted to quit, which I clicked yes, and CS6 continued working with no other pop up messages. It actually said my number was revoked! This has never happened to me before in all the years Ive used it. After I got it back from the repair shop I clicked on my CS6, it loaded just fine but then a second later a trial version message comes up so I entered the serial number and it doesn’t recognize it.

Since I bought it from a 3rd party seller, I didn’t register at Adobe but the Ebay seller gave me the serial number for the Extended which worked fine and continued to work well all these years until 2 weeks ago when my MacBook Pro wouldn’t boot up. I purchased CS6-Extended from Ebay a few years ago, I do have the CD as well. Its keeps telling me Im in the trial version. I need help, Im having trouble with my CS6 Extended serial number.
